NOTE: The following books are two of the clearest writings on learning to accept and embrace ourselves as we are and on how to be present in each and every moment of our lives: In other words, how to live our lives to the fullest. They are written from the Buddhist perspective. Buddhists have been practicing mindfulness and focusing for a very long time. These particular volumes are written by western women who came to Buddhism towards midlife and appear to have very good insight into the problems we face in this culture.
These books are gems. You need not have an interest in Buddhism to find them valuable.
